Sibshops Registration Session 3 June 14th, 2025 10am-12pm
We are excited that Buttonloop is starting a Sibshops group that will run 3-4 times a year. Sibshops is a worldwide program that provides groups for siblings of kids with special developmental concerns, including intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities.
As the Sibshops website says “Sibshops are pedal-to-the-metal events where they will meet other sibs (usually for the first time), have fun, laugh, talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs, play some great games, learn something about the services their brothers and sister receive, and have some more fun.”
Please check out this link for more information about Sibshops from their website: https://siblingsupport.org/sibshops/faqs-about-sibshops/
The groups are typically on a Saturday and run from 10am to noon. There will be fun activities using the gym space that their siblings get to use weekly as well as a cooking and/or craft activity as well. The idea is to have the same group of kids come to each session so they continue to build relationships as well as add in new friends to continue to grow our sibling community.
Please email katie.welch@buttonloop.com with any questions about the group.
